Free Screening Kits Available

(February 26, 2010)-  In recognition of national Colon Cancer Awareness Month in March, the Tammy Walker Cancer Center at Salina Regional Health Center, American Cancer Society and Kansas Department of Health and Environment are making 500 colon cancer screening kits available free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

Avon Foundation Awards Grant for breast cancer prevention to Tammy Walker Cancer Center

(February 17, 2010)- The Avon Foundation Breast Care Fund has awarded a $41,200 grant to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center at Salina Regional Health Center to increase awareness of the lifesaving benefits of annual screening and early detection for breast cancer.

Salina Regional Health Foundation Receives $800,000 Challenge Grant

(January 18, 2010) -The J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation, Tulsa, Oklahoma, has awarded an $800,000 challenge grant to the Salina Regional Health Foundation for the $6 million Every Child Matters Campaign to build the new Donna L. Vanier Children's Center.

Charlie Grimwood Apointed Examiner for 2009 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award
