March & April- Tobacco Cessation

Are you thinking of quitting smoking but you're not quite sure? Are you wanting to give up the smokeless tobacco? Are you weighing the pros and cons? Have you quit before and started again? In this eight session course, you will learn the many benefits of quitting and strategies to successfully quit. This is open to the public, so please share with family or friends. More information will be released soon.

Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinic today for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. Each evening will highlight a different diabetes-related topic designed to provide support for diabetics and their families. Door prizes will be awarded to the first 30 attendees! Cancer affects so many of us, yet there are not many opportunities to ask questions or have a general discussion. This is your chance to hear from a professional in our community and ask any questions you have about cancer. Dr. Peeran Sandhu, Medical Oncologist from Tammy Walker Cancer Center is passionate about education and sharing the latest in cancer treatments. Dr. Sandhu will share healthy choices that can help prevent cancer including diet, exercise and screenings. He will explain why certain foods are health/unhealthy and suggest substitutions for your existing diet. Please bring your questions.
