There is no meeting in September. The next meeting will be October 2, 2017. For those dealing with effects of cancer treatment who would like to learn techniques for skin and nail care, make-up application, and ways to increase self-esteem.

September 8 - Early Childhood Screening Clinic

Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinic today for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. September 12 - Chronic Kidney Disease Education Class

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a condition that occurs when your kidneys don’t work as well as they should to filter waste and toxins from your blood and keep your body chemically balanced. Getting diagnosed with CKD can understandably raise many questions, so learn everything you can about your kidneys and your condition.Being informed can help you take charge of your kidney health and keep your kidneys functioning as long as possible.

September 13 through November 1 - Smoking Cessation

Are you thinking of quitting tobacco but you're not quite sure? Are you weighing the pros and cons? Have you quit before and started again. This program consists of eight one-hour sessions and are presented via Interactive Televideo. Smokeless users are also welcome.

September 16 - Oncology Fair

Oncology nurses are the main target audience for this event being held at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center. You will learn to identify strategies in reducing neutropenia risk, identify pain management techniques and much more. Breakfast and lunch are included in the cost and several vendor booths will be on-site.

September 23- Fe For A Cure

Fe For A Cure is a 5K race/walk through the heart of Salina, beginning at St. John's Military School and concluding at Kansas Wesleyan University. It's a fun way to support cancer awareness and raise funds for all patients receiving treatment at Tammy Walker Cancer Center. All proceeds supports cancer patieints through services and equipment needs at Tammy Walker Cancer Center. Cancer Support Group

Inviting all cancer survivors, their partners and those helping in the fight to join us at this support group. This group provides educational talks, help with coping and provides a safe place to share and ask questions and learn from others who have faced similar situations. Drinks and snacks are provided. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
