Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a condition that occurs when your kidneys don’t work as well as they should to filter waste and toxins from your blood and keep your body chemically balanced. Getting diagnosed with CKD can understandably raise many questions, so learn everything you can about your kidneys and your condition.Being informed can help you take charge of your kidney health and keep your kidneys functioning as long as possible.

Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinic today for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. Cancer affects so many of us, yet there are not many opportunities to ask questions or have a general discussion. This is your chance to hear from a professional in our community and ask any questions you have about cancer. Dr. Peeran Sandhu, Medical Oncologist from Tammy Walker Cancer Center is passionate about education and sharing the latest in cancer treatments. Dr. Sandhu will share healthy choices that can help prevent cancer including diet, exercise and screenings. He will explain why certain foods are health/unhealthy and suggest substitutions for your existing diet. Please bring your questions.

Men's Cancer Networking Group
(formerly Man To Man Prostate Cancer Support Group)

A wonderful group of men and some of their spouses meet once a month to hear a talk pertaining
to men's cancers and have a chance to network with each other about issues they are dealing

Look Good, Feel Better

For those dealing with effects of cancer treatment who would like to learn techniques
for skin and nail care, make-up application, and ways to increase self-esteem.

Diabetes Support Group

These meetings feature interesting and informative speakers and discussion led by pharmacists from Salina Regional Health Center. Each evening will highlight a different diabetes-related topic designed to provide support for diabetics and their families. Door prizes will be awarded to the first 30 attendees! There will also be a prize drawing at each meeting and a grand prize drawing in June. Valet parking will be available at the hospital entrance.  Click here for flyer with more information.
