Community Diabetes Education

Salina Regional Health Center, COMCARE PA, and Salina Family Healthcare of Salina have joined forces to offer free diabetes community classes. The classes, called "Journey for Control" use curriculum approved by the American Diabetes Association and are taught by pharmacists and certified diabetes educators. The classes are open to anyone, including those newly diagnosed, those who have had diabetes for awhile and anyone who simply wants to learn more. They cover a range of topics including:

•What is Diabetes Healthy Eating
•Monitoring Blood Sugars/Exercise
•Medications: Prevention of Complications
•Prevention of Complications and Continuing the Journey
