Salina Regional Health Center Pharmacy Residency Program
The Salina Regional Health Center Pharmacy Residency is a 12-month ASHP accredited post-graduate program designed to provide three residents each year with the knowledge, abilities, experience, attitude and critical thinking skills necessary to become a leader in integrated health-system pharmacy practice.
The Pharmacy Residency provides experience in a variety of settings, focusing on the core areas of practice specified in the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacy Accreditation Standards, including patient care and practice management while also allowing flexibility to meet individual needs and preferences. The program is staffed by highly trained and respected clinical practitioners who are allotted dedicated time in their area of practice.
Salina Regional Health Center serves as a primary teaching site for KU School of Medicine-Salina , Smoky Hill Family Medicine residents as well as pharmacy students and students from many other health care professions.
Upon completion of the program, the clinical pharmacist will be ready to apply his or her skills in direct patient care, exhibit excellent decision-making skills and provide education and leadership in the care of patients.
